Resource Scarcity
Brace yourselves. Resource scarcity is coming.
With or without new policies and regulations, #EVs are an inevitable future. It’s been forecasted that 1/2 of global passenger cars sold in 2035 will be electric. Such massive industrial conversion marks a shift from fuel-intensive to material-intensive, declared the IEA in May.
Forward-thinking companies already are looking to secure or recycle critical materials needed in #EV batteries, such as cobalt, nickel, lithium, manganese, and graphite. In addition, exploring alternatives and innovative solutions could be another way out.
For example, Swedish scientists have developed massless carbon-fiber batteries, bringing EV battery technology a step forward.
💎Winners of 2035 E-Mobility Taiwan Global Demo Day will also showcase more innovation for smart mobility.
